Hello Cambridge,

Welcome to the Cambridge Folk Festival. It feels good to be back, doesn’t it? We are absolutely over the moon to return to Cherry Hinton Hall this summer, and are delighted that so many of you have chosen to spend your weekend with us.

The past few years have been incredibly challenging for independent festivals, artists, and venues. We took time in 2025 to reflect, reset, and reimagine what this festival could be—finding new ways to deliver an unforgettable experience while navigating the financial realities we face.

You may notice some changes this year, but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to bringing you a weekend filled with music, connection, and joy. Our team has worked tirelessly—and creatively—to ensure that the Cambridge Folk Festival not only continues but thrives for years to come.

Your support makes all the difference. Without you, none of this would be possible. To see you gathered here in this beautiful park, ready to welcome the artists to the stage, means everything to us.

This year’s programme is packed with incredible talent. We’re thrilled to welcome back familiar faces as well as exciting new artists. Our continued collaboration with local folk clubs has allowed us to shine a spotlight on grassroots talent—something that has always been at the heart of this festival. Alongside the music, we have a fantastic range of workshops and an abundance of food and drink to enjoy—so please explore, indulge, and support the brilliant traders who help bring the festival to life.

We’re also proud to have launched a new chapter this year with our Folk Festival Presents series—over 20 events across the city throughout July, including both free and ticketed performances. It’s been a joy to bring the spirit of the festival beyond the park and into the wider community. We hope you were able to be part of it.
